Synchronisation interface using the GPS clock

  • GPS interface inside the flashhead
  • Dispswitches to select the frequency of the pulse per minute during the day and the night (day/night mode coming from external photocell at the bottom (0V->day mode, 48Vdc->night mode) or photocensor on the flashhead
  • Output signal for day/night mode (0V->day mode, 48Vdc->night mode)
  • 4 luminous indicators

In case 2 or more flashing lights are installed on the same obstacle, ICAO and FAA request that the lights should be synchronized. In case it is not possible to install a wire between the flashing lights, the GPS allows synchronizing a group of flashing lights without the need of installing a cable between them. The GPS control unit from OBSTA is a DIN rail module with 2 outputs, one for flash synchronisation and one optional for day/night change of light output and color
